Gratitude Matters:
Small Acts, Big Impact
Each year, we are deeply touched by patients, families, and community
members who give to Virtua to express their gratitude. In 2024,
more than 100 clinicians, colleagues, and teams were honored with a gift of
gratitude for the difference they made. The kindness of our donors has
meant the world to us. And their generosity will have a lasting impact on
TM
those we serve for years to come!
NICU Family Shares Thanks for Care
The Gargano family’s life took an unexpected turn when their second
daughter, Molly, was born at just 29 weeks, weighing only 1 lb. 8 oz.
They spent 110 days—including several holidays—by her side in the
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Virtua Voorhees Hospital as she
fought to overcome numerous developmental challenges. Today,
Molly is a joyful 2-year-old who has made remarkable strides on her
growth chart and is busy keeping up with her older sister, Mia.
In special thanks for the care they received, Molly’s parents, Stacey
and Craig, generously recognized the NICU team and their physician,
Sarvin Ghavam, MD, by giving through The Lasting Impact Project.

“Our family is grateful to the entire NICU team at Virtua for their exceptional
medical care and emotional support. In particular, we are grateful to Dr. Sarvin
Ghavam. She stood out as a beacon of hope who provided open and honest
communication, patience, and empathy throughout Molly’s journey. We can’t
wait until Molly is old enough to appreciate the stories we tell her about
Dr. Ghavam and all the amazing medical staff who cared for her at Virtua!”
— Stacey Gargano, Grateful NICU Mom
Molly’s incredible story is among those featured on the new Wall of Hope at Virtua Voorhees Hospital—a gallery wall
displaying “then and now” stories of former NICU babies who are now thriving kids and teens.
