Fostering Nursing Education and Clinical Training
Academic Scholarships Support Students and Nurses
With support from our donors, we are educating the next generation
of nurses and building a care team equipped to meet our community’s
needs—now and into the future. In 2025, more than $90,000 in academic
scholarships supported 38 Virtua nurses and students at Virtua Our
Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing. By easing the burden of tuition, these
scholarships enable nurses and students to focus on their education,
enriching their learning and ultimately enhancing patient care.
New Technology will Advance Simulated Training
The Simulation Center at Virtua’s Health & Wellness Center in Berlin
now features a state-of-the-art Anatomage Table, made possible by
a generous $100,000 gift from the emergency medicine physicians
at TeamHealth. This transformative tool enhances clinical training
through digitized human cadavers, advanced learning applications,
and realistic 3D anatomy experiences. Students enrolled in Virtua’s
EMS (emergency medical services), medical assistant, and patient
care technician programs will bene昀椀t from hands-on access to
